Booked trips

We twice tried to book trips through this web site, their prices were quite low so we attempted to get tickets from them. We originally put in the information for the trip for 3 people and paid for them, they came back to say the tickets were not available at that price. We booked a second time, and they didn't e-mail us to say we didn't get the tickets, I called them and they said they were not available at that price, but they did have the tickets available for $850 rather than $620, so we didn't book with them.

How does this company get s "4 out of 5" rating???

There are NO good reviews of this company. Their rating should be "0 out of 5".

I'm filling space because you require a minimum of 100 words(???) Here are some more words; blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. This is a *** requirement, I don't need 100 words to say what I needed to say, and I don't think many others do either. Not enough yet, yeesh! EXPLORE TRIP SUCKS HARD, HOW'S THAT?

Not enough, you need to change your 100 word rule. Again, EXPLORE TRIP IS THE WORST TRAVEL BOOKING COMPANY ON THE INTERNET, DO NOT USE THEM. It appears to be just a robot server, no response of any type once the booking is done.

***** WARNING ***** IF YOU USE THEM YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU DID. IF YOU STILL CHOOSE TO USE THEM YOU ARE AN ***.

Also had a bad experience with their customer service people... not to mention that they wanted $75 to cancel a reservation that I literally made minutes earlier.

If you make any problems for them during the customer service call, they will pause...and say "hello? i'm sorry, hello?" as if the line had cut out. I suspect this is a tactic to make dissatisfied customers give up. I've been on the phone with other companies all day and not had 1 issue.

This only happens with ExploreTrip customer service agents. Won't be using their company again.

EXPLORETRIP.COM = HORRIBLE SERVICE

I recently booked flights with this outfit. There was a subsequent change of schedule made right after booking. I tried every method possible to contact this company, several times, but never received a response. I was left to fend for myself to effect my arrival at the proper time. This company has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I recommend you go elsewhere to do business; I will book directly with airlines from this point forward. (Too late) I looked for complaints against them; there are HUNDREDS! BAD BAD BAD WORSE WORSE WORSE WORST WORST WORST HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE USE AT YOUR OWN RISK OF LOSS OF $$$$ AND AGGRAVATION.

UK Starvation Trip to Tibet

My husband and I have been taking 2 organized tours a year for several years and have experienced tours without food, guides who get lost on treks, and less-than-advertised accommodations. With most American tour companies, within days of coming home, you receive a questionnaire. My husband and I always respond with suggestions and our complaints. We have found that U.K. tour companies do not send out questionnaires. In fact, one U.K. trip was so disappointing that my husband wrote a 7-page letter detailing each day's hardship. My own letter was called "The Starvation Trip to Tibet." We never got a response so I brought the book, A Complaint is a Gift: Recovering Customer Loyalty When Things Go Wrong. I now know how to complain and get results. There's an art to getting satisfication that the author Janelle Barlow lays out for the consumer.
