We recently booked a flight through ExploreTrip from NYC to Sao Paulo in Brazil. They confirmed the flight, so we went ahead and booked other flights inside Brazil. The next morning, ExploreTrip sends us an email saying that they need the following documents in the next 4 hours in order to confirm our trip, which again had already been confirmed the day before:

1. Copy of the card front side.

2. Signed authorization. (Attached in the e-mail)

3. Copy of the govt. Issued ID such as Drivers license or Passport of the Card Holder.

Not only is this dangerous; to send my documents via email, but it was also unfair, since I was working and only checked my personal email later that day. When I called them, they said the trip had been canceled, even though they had already charged me on our credit card(!), and that they'd give us a refund in 7 days! This was completely unacceptable!! This company shouldn't even be mentioned on Skyscanner.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $600.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.
